It will give you an general idea of all the supplies that Olivia packs. The list will be finalized in June. Also, team members who are required to bring specific things will be listed there by name.

BORDER ID INFO FOR US CITIZENS

1. Age 16 and Over need either a Passport, Passport Card or an ENHANCED DRIVER’S LISENCE [VT, NY, MI, MN & WA residents only]

The sad truth: different states offer various types of IDs.

There is a difference between state issued ID forms depending on what state you live in. See this website REAL ID | Homeland Security for each state explanation. Some states use similar language that can be confusing, so consult with Olivia if you have questions. Only VT, NY, MI, MN and WA issue a combination Real ID/enhanced card that is good for USA/CA land border crossings. This is not true of other states. [updated 2026]
ID needed to cross the US/Canada border is not the same as the Real Id requirement for boarding domestic air flights. Feel free to ask questions of me! This can be confusing because some states use the same terms for different meanings!!
New suggestion from a Border Guard: A Passport Card only costs $30 and can be used for land crossings between CA and USA. Using a Passport Card will protect your valuable US Passport from loss or theft.

2. Age 15 or below at time of travel need one of the below:

REAL [embossed] Birth Certificate OR
“EDL” non-driver ID if you live in VT, NY, MI, MN or WA
Military ID – for dependents of US Military

3. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:

ALL team members under age 18 who are not traveling with BOTH parents need this NOTARY CONSENT FORM signed by both parents and notarized: 2026 FORM
Everyone should write in two names of two driver options. I will help you fill out this form about a month in advance of departure.

SCHEDULE FOR LOADING AND TRAVELING will be HERE We are traveling to arrive SATURDAY JUNE 27TH, first meal to be Dinner at 6 PM. Parents — This schedule includes the team return schedule ON JULY 4.

E4K MEDICAL PERMISSION AND LIABILITY RELEASE FORM – Everyone must sign [adults for themselves and all teens under 18] must have their parents sign before leaving for Quebec. Sign, scan/email OR take a picture and email to Olivia@copcvt.org.

2. E4K INSURANCE INFORMATION FORM — Everyone must sign [adults for themselves and all teens under 18] must have their parents sign before leaving for Quebec. Sign, scan or take a picture and send to Olivia@copcvt.org.

Deadline for sending copies of the Notary form and the two Medical forms above is June 18th! Scan or photo and Email to Olivia please.

Quebec History

Here are links to a talk given by Pastor Ben Westerveld about the history of Quebec, the evangelical church in Quebec, and how the camps fit into the church’s work there. You might find it very interesting to listen to but it’s not mandatory. We filmed this, I believe, in 2010 in Quebec City.
